Suzuki in Pakistan Increased Prices
Suzuki increased its cars prices 10,000 to 20,000 in Pakistan. Suzuki increased its prices due to the fall of Pakistani rupee against the US Dollar.
The Pakistan Suzuki Motors Company(PSMC) told the media in press conference, the price increased because the car parts are exported from other countries like China and Thailand. The Payment of purchased car parts are done in US Dollars. But in few months the US Dollar value increased in Pakistan, they have to buy car parts in US Dollar so we could not afford burden over company business.
On the other side Chairman of All Pakistan Motor Dealer Association(APMDA) called this act unfair, argued it was not required. The chairman said the Suzuki purchased its car parts from cheap markets and they increased prices in a year 3 times.
According to common people they named it as monopoly of 3 car companies in Pakistan, Toyota, Honda and Suzuki. They hold all market share and when they exercise this in every 5 or 6 months.
By this act of Suzuki company the prices of Mehran, Van, Bolan, APV, Cultus, Laina and Swift increased, these prices are effective from 1 October 2013 in Pakistan.
