Pakistan once again missed the golden opportunity of becoming the number one T20 team. Pakistan cricket team was only required to win 2nd T20 against the Sri-lankans but yet again failed. Pakistan won the toss, which is becoming habit of Pakistan team captain Mohammad Hafeez, he decided to chase due to dew factor in late night. But the Sri-Lankan openers destroyed Pakistan bowling attack. Indeed Pakistan bowling attack is considered one of the best bowling attack but the Sri-Lankan batsmen played with confidence and put Pakistan bowling attack under pressure from the first ball.
Sri-lanka made 211 in their 20 overs quota and lost only 3 wickets. The star batsman in that inning was young Perera, he made 84 runs in just 59 balls and hit 4 huge sixes and played shots all around the ground. The batsmen who also performed well were TM Dilshan, Sangakkara and the debut-ant Prasanna. It was golden night for Sri-lankan batsmen and the played out of their skins for saving number one team spot in ICC T20 rankings.
On the other side Pakistan bowling attack showed poor performance and less quality, no doubt for past three or four years in international cricket Pakistan was the team which has the quality bowling attack but last night it was exposed. The only impressive bowler was the number one T20 best bowler Saeed Ajmal who showed some good performance.
The 2nd inning start by Pakistan was steady but lost 2 wicketAhmed Shehzad and the captain Mohammad Hafeez lose their wickets by playing too many unecessary shots. But the star for Pakistan batting was the Hyderabad region player Sharjeel Khan who made 50 runs in just 25 balls and hit 3 huge sixes, after making fifty he lost his concentration and lost his wicket on easy full-toss ball by Prasanna. After Sharjeel khans wicket loss Pakistan batting lost his direction, Umar akmal out on duck by Prasanna and later order showed some kind of resistance by Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir and Saeed Ajmal.

The man of the match award won by the Perera for his blasting inning, the Player of the series award won by the Shahid Afridi. Overall T20 series between these two teams played under good spirit and both team played high quality cricket. After T20 series the ODI series will be definitely interesting.
