The fertilizer companies reduced the price of Urea bags, the reduced price will be implemented from the 1 March 2014.
After 4 hours meeting between the federal government delegation and representatives of fertilizer companies the price reduced from 1900 Rs to 1786 Rs per bag.
The prime minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz took the notice after the price increase on 1 January 2014. Prime minister directed finance minister to take some steps for saving the rights of farmers, provide them relief in Urea prices.
Finance minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar was leading the government delegation, he mentioned the fertilizer companies that government of Pakistan gives high value to Pakistan agriculture sector and government will protect the rights of farmers and consumers.
